Onboarding

After creating your account, Folia walks you through a short onboarding flow to get your workspace ready. The steps differ depending on whether you signed up as a couple or as a planner.

Couple Onboarding

When setting up as a couple you'll be asked to enter the basics for your wedding:

1. Partner names — your names as they should appear throughout the app
2. Wedding date — used for countdowns, timeline scheduling, and the marriage license checklist
3. Wedding location — city and state/region (used for sunrise/sunset times in the day-of timeline)
4. Guest count estimate — helps configure your initial budget and seating templates

Once you complete onboarding you land on your Home dashboard, which shows your setup checklist and upcoming tasks.

Planner Onboarding

Planners go through a slightly different setup:

1. Your name and business name — displayed in your branding and client-facing communications
2. Business logo (optional) — appears in the sidebar and on exported documents
3. Create your first client wedding — enter the couple's names, wedding date, and location

After onboarding, the Planner Suite navigation appears in your sidebar and you're taken to your first wedding's dashboard.

Adding More Weddings (Planners)

After onboarding, planners can create additional client weddings any time from the wedding switcher at the top of the sidebar. Click your current wedding name to open the switcher, then select + New Wedding.
