Rolodex

Your personal vendor and contact directory — separate from any individual wedding.

The Rolodex is your private contact book inside Folia. It's completely separate from any individual wedding's vendor list — it's your professional directory of vendors, venues, and contacts you work with repeatedly across multiple weddings.

Adding a Contact

  1. Go to Rolodex in the sidebar.
  2. Click Add Contact.
  3. Enter the contact's name, business name, category, phone, email, and website.
  4. Add any notes about this contact — specialties, pricing tier, preferred contact method, etc.
  5. Click Save.

Contact Categories

Organize your rolodex by category the same way you would a physical contact book. Common categories for planners:

  • Photographer
  • Videographer
  • Florist
  • Caterer
  • Venue
  • Hair & Makeup
  • DJ / Band
  • Officiant
  • Rental Company
  • Transportation

Contact Detail Pages

Each contact has a full detail page where you can store:

  • Full contact information
  • Website and social media links
  • Notes and working relationship history
  • Past weddings you've worked with this vendor on (manually noted)

Access a contact's detail page by clicking their card in the Rolodex grid.

Importing Contacts from CSV

If you have an existing contact list in a spreadsheet:

  1. Click Import in the Rolodex header.
  2. Upload your CSV as it is — there's no template to fill in first.
  3. Confirm how each of your columns maps to a Folia field. We detect most of them for you, and only Vendor / Business Name is required.
  4. Review your contacts, fixing any cell you want to change, then confirm.

Rows that can't be saved are skipped and listed for you, so a single bad value never blocks the rest of the file.

Switching from Timeline Genius? See Coming from Timeline Genius? for how to export your contacts there and bring them straight in here.

Using Rolodex Contacts on a Wedding

The Rolodex is separate from wedding vendor lists. To use a Rolodex contact on a specific wedding, switch to that wedding and add them as a vendor under My Vendors. You can type their name to look them up, but the data is entered separately per wedding so each wedding's vendor record tracks that wedding's specific quotes and payments.
