Best Aisle Planner Alternatives

As wedding season winds down, there’s finally time to ask whether the tools you’ve run this year are still the right fit. If you’re weighing an Aisle Planner alternative, the timing is good. September through March is the natural window to switch platforms, when fewer weddings are mid-build.

Aisle Planner competitors tend to fall into two groups, and it helps to know which one you’re shopping for. The majority of Aisle Planner plans bundle business tools (proposals, contracts, invoicing) with planning tools (guest lists, seating, timelines). Some alternatives replace the whole bundle, and others replace only half. Aisle Planner vs. HoneyBook is the clearest example: HoneyBook handles the business side, but its plans don’t include a guest list, seating chart or day-of timeline builder. Knowing which half of your workflow you want to replace makes the comparison below much easier to read.

Between July and September 2026, our research team reviewed 11 platforms commonly cited as Aisle Planner alternatives for professional wedding planners. We scored each against the following six weighted factors:

  • Starting Price (20%): Starting price for a professional planner account and the billing model (per-project subscription vs. flat rate vs. tiered)
  • Platform Type (10%): Purpose-built wedding tool vs. general-purpose business software
  • Scalability (15%): Maximum active weddings supported per pricing tier
  • Wedding-Specific Feature Depth (20%): Guest list, seating charts, ceremony planning and timeline tools vs. generic CRM functionality
  • Guest List and Seating Integration (20%): Whether RSVP and meal selection data flow directly into the seating chart without re-entry
  • Timeline and Day-Of Tools (15%): Day-of timeline builder, drag-and-drop scheduling, vendor-filtered views and PDF export

We rank-ordered the results using our scoring algorithm. The table below shows the top six platforms; full reviews follow.

1. Folia, for all-in-one professional wedding planning

Folia is an all-in-one wedding planning platform built for professional wedding planners. Each couple gets their own private login portal and sees their guest list, budget, timeline and seating chart, while you manage every wedding on your roster from one dashboard. You decide what each couple can see and edit, couples can access their personal dashboards for free, and when they confirm an RSVP or change a meal choice it updates for both of you instantly. Meal choices flow from the guest list directly into a drag-and-drop seating chart, where they show up as color-coded chips at each seat, so nothing gets re-entered between tools.

The day-of timeline builder is where Folia goes deepest. You can build the day in either list or calendar view, attach vendors and locations to every item, and even mark time slots as TBD if needed. Hair and makeup get their own scheduling grid, multi-day weekends are supported, and branded call sheets for each vendor can be exported as a PDF in one click. Reusable questionnaires, a shared dream board and a budget you and your couple edit together round out the suite. Paid plans run from $29 a month (for up to 5 active weddings) to $159 (unlimited weddings), with savings of up to 16% when billed annually. At monthly rates, the 15-wedding plan costs roughly $910 a year less than Aisle Planner and Timeline Genius together. Planners can also try Folia before committing: the free tier includes nearly everything except the client portal, seating chart and unlimited to-dos and checklists, and every paid plan adds a 14-day free trial on top.

Key info:

Price Range: Free–$159/mo billed monthly; save up to 16% billed annually

Average Review Score: 5.0/5.0 on G2

Services Offered: Guest list, seating chart, meal tracking, day-of timelines, budgets, vendor contacts, questionnaires, client portals, messaging

Summary of Online Reviews: A reviewer on G2 says Folia feels tailored to wedding planning in a way a general file system never did. They also credit the Folia team with constantly adjusting the system to make it feel more personal for the people using it. Folia is a newer platform, so its third-party review footprint is still growing.

2. That’s The One, for a broad all-in-one suite

That’s The One (TTO) is an all-in-one platform for wedding and event planners. It combines a planning dashboard, RSVP and guest management, to-scale floor plans and seating charts, timelines, budgets, vendor CRM, contracts, payment tracking and client portals. Its seating chart syncs RSVPs, meal choices and dietary needs, and exports a caterer-ready PDF. TTO supports unlimited weddings and events, and clients use it free. The planner plan runs $61.49 a month, with a 30-day free trial.

TTO stands out for planners whose weddings cross borders. It supports 20 currencies and six languages, and its guest accommodation tool shows live rates from more than 1.7 million properties and syncs reminders with the guest list. On the timeline side, AI-assisted import turns an existing run-of-show file into editable timeline items, so you don’t have to rebuild schedules you’ve already written. Founded in London in 2020, TTO joined Helium Ventures’ portfolio of wedding and event software in August 2026. For destination and international planners in particular, it’s one of the most complete suites on this list.

Key info:

Price Range: $61.49/mo

Average Review Score: 4.9/5.0 (self-reported on thatstheone.com)

Services Offered: Planning dashboard, guest management and RSVPs, floor plans and seating, timelines, budgets, vendor CRM, contracts, payment tracking, client portals

Summary of Online Reviews: Independent commentary from the wedding website builder WedSites points to TTO’s professional planner tools and support for international weddings. It’s worth noting That’s The One doesn’t have a profile on the major third-party review sites, so the 4.9 rating above is the company’s own figure.

3. Wedded Planner Portal, for planners with a growing roster

Wedded Planner Portal is the professional version of Wedded Wonderland’s planning software, built for planners who run several weddings at once. You keep one roster of couples and open any couple into their own planning suite, which includes a wedding website with RSVP, guest list, budget, timeline, tasks, vendors, seating, calendar, menu planner and decor moodboard. Each couple’s data stays separate, and finished weddings can be archived to free up a slot. Pricing is one flat plan at $48.65 a month, with a 7-day free trial that doesn’t require a credit card.

Wedded Planner Portal uses a planner-run model, so you work inside each couple’s suite on your own login and the app doesn’t offer custom branding. Couples who already use Wonderland Studio, Wedded Wonderland’s free couple-facing product, can invite their planner to plan alongside them. The portal’s listed tools don’t include proposals, contracts or invoicing for your own clients, so most planners pair it with a separate business tool. For planners who want predictable pricing and a separate workspace for every couple, it’s a straightforward option.

Key info:

Price Range: $48.65/mo

Average Review Score: 4.9/5.0 (self-reported on weddedwonderland.com by couples who planned with Wedded Wonderland, not from the planner product)

Services Offered: Website builder with RSVP, guest list, budget, timeline, tasks, vendor tracking, seating planner, calendar, menu planner, decor and moodboard

Summary of Online Reviews: Wedded Planner Portal is a recent launch and doesn’t have independent reviews yet. Wedded Wonderland’s couple-facing planning tools aren’t profiled on the major software review sites either, so the 4.9 rating above is the company’s own figure.

4. Timeline Genius, for day-of timelines

Timeline Genius is timeline software built for wedding professionals. It generates a starting timeline from a few wedding details, then lets you use templates, shift times for multiple items at once, and send each vendor a version showing only their relevant items. Timelines can be shared as PDFs, emailed, or opened in a web view for collaboration. Pricing is $54.95 a month (or $549.95 a year) for unlimited events and team members, or a $194.95 one-time purchase for five events.

Timeline Genius does its one job well; text reminders can be pre-set to go out to key players on the big day, vendor contacts save to a rolodex you reuse from event to event, and floor plans, images and vendor documents can be attached right to the event. Clients and vendors can open a web version to collaborate, post questions on the timeline, and see only the items that apply to them. Time tracking logs how long your team spends on each event, and every plan includes unlimited concierge support and a 30-day money-back guarantee. With that said, there’s no guest list, seating chart or budgeting tool, so most planners must pair it with another platform to achieve a full workflow.

Key info:

Price Range: $54.95/mo or $549.95/yr

Average Review Score: 4.4/5.0 on TeneraTeam

Services Offered: Timeline building, vendor-filtered views, templates, PDF export, text reminders, time tracking, vendor rolodex

Summary of Online Reviews: Independent comparisons generally describe Timeline Genius as a specialist for vendor-ready day-of timelines rather than a full all-in-one platform. The platform has a small review footprint on third-party sites, so its 4.4/5.0 score doesn’t represent a broad consensus.

5. HoneyBook, for contracts, invoices and payments

HoneyBook is a client management platform used by event pros, photographers and other service businesses. Its strength lies in the business side of planning: CRM, proposals, contracts with e-signatures, invoices, online payments, scheduling and automations. All three plans include unlimited clients and projects, the opposite of Aisle Planner’s project-count pricing. Plans run $29, $49 and $109 a month billed annually ($36, $59 and $129 billed monthly), with a 30-day free trial.

It’s important to note that HoneyBook isn’t designed as a wedding planning tool. Its plans don’t include a guest list with RSVP tracking, a seating chart or a day-of timeline builder, so planners who adopt it usually keep a planning platform alongside it. That’s the key difference in an Aisle Planner vs. HoneyBook comparison: HoneyBook can replace the business half of Aisle Planner, but not the planning half.

Key info:

Price Range: $36–$129/mo or $29–109/mo billed annually

Average Review Score: 4.7/5.0 on Capterra

Services Offered: CRM, proposals, contracts, e-signatures, invoicing, payment processing, scheduling, automations

Summary of Online Reviews: Reviewers say HoneyBook is easy to set up and keeps the whole client journey, from inquiry to contract to payment, in one place. Common critiques include basic reporting, limits on automation, occasional payment and integration hiccups, and price increases over time.

6. Dubsado, for workflow automation and client onboarding

Dubsado is a client management platform for creative and service businesses with a deep automation toolkit: forms, proposals, contracts, invoicing, scheduling, client portals, and workflows that trigger emails and tasks. The Starter tier is $35 a month, and Premier is $55 a month; both plans include unlimited clients and projects, but only three user seats. Automations, scheduling and public proposals are Premier features. The 21-day free trial includes full Premier access, with no credit card required.

Like HoneyBook, Dubsado doesn’t include wedding planning tools such as a guest list, seating chart or timeline builder, so planners typically pair it with a planning platform. Its automation does go deeper than HoneyBook’s, which is the draw for planners who want to script every step of the client journey, but that depth comes with setup time.

Key info:

Price Range: $35–55/mo or $335–$525/yr

Average Review Score: 4.2/5.0 on Capterra

Services Offered: CRM, proposals, contracts, invoicing, scheduling, forms, workflow automation, client portals

Summary of Online Reviews: Reviewers praise Dubsado’s automation, customization and branded proposals. The most common criticism is the learning curve; reviewers regularly mention long setup times, and its ease-of-use score trails its customer service score.
